The Turovsky Meadow Nature Reserve was founded in 2008 in order to preserve the unique ecosystem of the flood meadows of the Pripyat River. Administratively, it is located on the territory of the Veresnitsky Village Council. The peculiarity of the reserve is that during high water it is partially flooded. As a result, small islands are formed. There is a large population of birds in the reserve. Sandpipers that nest here are subject to special protection. Also, the ornithological book of the Turovsky Meadow includes wild ducks, swans, partridges, geese. Visitors can visit the reserve when the water recedes and the earth dries out. Pointers will help you navigate, where not only a map of the area is shown, but also a reference about the species of birds and plants is written.
