Employees of the district central library of the city of Zhitkovichi conducted an analysis of publications of the district newspaper "Novoe Polesie" for the period from 1967 (partially the 1950s) to 2021 for references to the facts of genocide of the population of the Zhitkovichi district during the Great Patriotic War. As a result of the analysis, a number of articles were identified testifying to the mass targeted extermination of the civilian population of the district by the German occupiers during the Great Patriotic War.
